A third confirmed case of COVID-19 in Hunt County has been announced by Hunt County Judge Bobby Stovall.
The patient in the third case is a male over 65 that resides north of Quinlan. No other details have been released at this time.
On Saturday, the second positive test for COVID-19 was reported for Hunt County. The Hunt County Health Department completed an initial investigation and determined that the individual in question does reside in Hunt County within the city limits of Commerce, Texas. The individual is an 18-30 year old female.
Texas A&M-Commerce has confirmed that the patient is a student living off-campus. This student has not been on campus recently and is following all medical professional recommendations for self-isolation, according to a statement from the university.
A Shelter In Place order remains in effect for Hunt County.
