Arson investigators in Ft. Worth are searching for a man that walked into a hotel on Sunday night and set the clerk on fire.

A man walked into the hotel on Sunday and threatened to burn the clerk alive if they didn’t hand over the hotel’s cash on hand.

The man then squirted lighter fluid through the counter’s protective glass onto the counter and clerk.

The clerk attempted to call for help and the man used a lighter to set the lighter fluid on fire. The fire began to quickly spread and burned the clerk.

The clerk suffered minor injuries and is reportedly okay.

The suspect is believed to be a white man, according to NBC 5. He was seen wearing a teal T-shirt, which he covered with a pink shirt during the attempted robbery.
