Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Arkansas Man for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon

An Arkansas man on parole was arrested by Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office after a firearm was discovered on his person during a traffic stop.

A HCSO deputy stopped 50 year old Richard Lynn Hicks of Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Wednesday night on I-30 for not having a license plate on his vehicle.

Hicks was found to have a semi-automatic pistol in a holster which was attached to his waist.

A records check showed Hicks to be on felony parole in Arkansas.

He was taken into custody and transported to Hopkins County Jail where was booked for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and 3 outstanding warrants from the State of Arkansas.
