Escaped Dallas County Inmate Leads Police On Chase Through Multiple Jurisdictions

A female inmate escaped a state jail facility in Dallas County and led police on a lengthy chase on Thursday night.

Seagoville Police Department received information in reference to the Community Correctional Facility escapee, Makayla Kale, was in the area along with a male subject, Brayden Briggs, a known felon. Officers on duty received descriptions of both suspects and the vehicle they were driving.

Patrol officers sighted the vehicle in the 600 block of E Malloy Bridge Rd and noted it was occupied by a male and female matching the descriptions provided to the officers. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, at which time the subjects failed to stop and fled the scene.

The subjects led police on a pursuit through numerous jurisdictions. The pursuit ended in Cedar Hill.

Both subjects were taken into custody for felony warrants and transported to the Seagoville Holding Facility without incident. Kale was charged with Evading arrest or detention with a vehicle with previous conviction. Briggs was arrested on outstanding warrants.
