Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Makes Two Arrests Related to Shooting of Hunt County Man in Early January

Hunt County Deputies and Criminal Investigation Division has arrested a Quinlan man and a Quinlan woman their roles in the shooting of a man in early January.

On January 4, 2021 at approximately 3:48 pm, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting there was an argument followed by gun fire at a residence located in the 9700 block of Private Road 3792. Deputies were dispatched to the location and upon arrival discovered one male victim of a gunshot wound inside the residence.

Deputies also learned that other individuals who were at the residence fled prior to law enforcements arrival. American Medical Response responded to the scene and provided medical care to the victim. The victim was flown by air ambulance to a Dallas area hospital. The victim is recovering from his injury.

The Hunt County Deputies and Criminal Investigation Division began a search for the suspects and processed the crimes scene. It was also learned that the suspect in the shooting had also brandished a firearm at a witness as he was leaving the scene.

As the investigation developed information, two subjects have been arrested. Nathan Doyle Dotson, a 33 year old white male from Quinlan, was arrested and booked into the Hunt County Jail on (2) charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Bond for Dotson was set at $ 75,000.00 for each charge.

The second individual charged was Shannon Irene Landeros, a 47 year old white female from Quinlan, who was charged with Failure to Report Felony with Serious Bodily Injury. Bond for Landerous was set at $ 5,000.00.
